Meet Anna-Cherie, Orthodox Iconographer

Anna-Cherie was born and raised near Boston, MA, and attended Monserrat College of Art. She graduated with a BFA in illustration in 1986. Anna-Cherie is disabled and has called Saint Louis home for the last 6 years. She was raised Methodist and converted into the Russian Orthodox Church in 2001 and now attends Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Saint Louis. Anna-Cherie was annointed by the late Metropolitan Hilarian in 2013 as an iconographer. She now studies under Daniel Neculae and has entered her 5th year Master studies.

Anna- Cherie writes icons in both egg tempera and acrylic in both Byzantine and Western Styles. She also has prints available upon request. See them at the bottom of the Shop Prints page of this website.

Anna-Cherie and Mary Claire MacDonald of Wellwick Iconography have been friends ever since Anna-Cherie moved to Saint Louis. They share the same birthday and love connecting over icons.
